Oil paintings on canvas

The portraits are painted in oil on canvas, I use different brushes to stretch color  on the canvas, especially on the important areas of the portrait, and I also use the  palette knife.
I primarily focus on the resemblance of the portrait in matter to the person in the picture you send me. To see more examples of portraits painted after photography's click on the picture above.

For paintings on canvas I use oil paint  that I apply most often with palette knife. The advantages are that the colors can be spread quickly on the canvas, the knife is easy to clean,  colors do not mix as much thus it dose not get dirty, color spots cross out in relief and provide a specific texture for the painting. Sometimes to emphasize the texture on the canvas I use impasto gel.
